Welcome to The

Food Innovation and Technology Hub (FIT-Hub)

The Food Innovation and Technology Hub (FIT-Hub), established under the University of Malawi’s Centre for Resilient Agri-Food Systems (CRAFS) in April 2025 with World Bank funding through IUCEA, aims to foster entrepreneurship and innovation in Malawi’s agri-food systems while ensuring intellectual property protection.

Empowering food tech and agri-food entrepreneurs by providing incubation support, cutting-edge research, mentorship, and market linkages, accelerating scalable innovations that enhance food security, reduce waste, improve nutrition, promote climate resilience, and drive inclusive economic growth while bridging academia and industry.

To be Malawi’s leading incubation hub for food innovation and technology, driving sustainable agri-food businesses.
